Flavors That Connect People

After immigrating to the United States, graduating from college, starting a family, and living and working in the Northeast, we, Stephen and Andrea Milly, created a strong sense of community through our love of food. We wanted to demonstrate the ability to bring people together and create culinary masterpieces that fuse dishes from our West Indian culture with American favorites. The only thing that was missing was a chance to share it all with more people.

We decided to move to North Carolina in the late 90s with two young boys and a third on the way, a secret recipe, and a distant dream. With the goals of continuing to share a piece of our culture and connecting with people, we jumped at the opportunity to open a food stand at the North Carolina State Fair. After a few years, we began to gain some notoriety while meeting some amazing people. Through the encouragement of our community, we decided to open a restaurant called Cool Runnings Jamaican Cuisine, and were able to further share our culture and expand our community. Unfortunately, like many other hard-working people, when the 2008 recession hit, we had to shut our storefront but decided to continue operating at the State Fair.

At the North Carolina State Fair, we continued to refine our products and expand our recipes, and have developed an very high-quality product line that we are extremely proud of and even more excited to share! We are so thankful for every single person that we have had the opportunity to meet and serve, and we believe that the time has come to bring the Milly family from the State Fair to your home, so that anyone can enjoy our products whenever the craving hits. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your support, and welcome to the Milly family.
